Other responsibilities include retrieving medical records, lab results, supplies and medications. Being a Patient Transporter may require a high school diploma or its equivalent. Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Additionally, Patient Transporter typically reports to a supervisor. The Patient Transporter may require 0-1 year of general work experience. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Position Details:
Full time: Thursday-Saturday
Shift: Day 5am-6:30pm
The stretcher division transports stretcher and bed bound patients from healthcare facilities and households to and from procedures, appointments, and dialysis. Stretcher crews work in pairs and are responsible for transferring patients on and off the stretcher, transport to the end destination, and ensuring the safety and well-being of the patient.
No experience is required. Training is provided by Apex.
EMT-B/C certification is not required, but appreciated therefore a $1 differential per hour included for EMT-B/C.
