Patient Transporter jobs in District of Columbia
Patient Transporter transports patients to and from their inpatient beds and other areas like therapy, surgery or radiology. Other responsibilities include retrieving medical records, lab results, supplies and medications. Being a Patient Transporter may require a high school diploma or its equivalent. Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Additionally, Patient Transporter typically reports to a supervisor. The Patient Transporter may require 0-1 year of general work experience. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Job Summary: As a Patient Transporter, you will be responsible for the transfers and transport of non-ambulatory inpatients between nursing units and ancillary departments for diagnostic testing, rehab, therapy, and/or other destinations as assigned to facilitate treatment and health care
Educational/Minimum Work Requirements:
-High School Diploma or GED is required.
-Current CPR Heartsaver is required
-Previous experience in a health care setting desirable
Shift: Full-Time, Monday - Friday, 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM.
