Description
Position Summary:
Responsible for auditing, analyzing, compiling and validating crucial data. Assists with report development, when necessary. Assists the department director during regulatory surveys. Assists the department director in special projects.
Position Responsibilities:
Clinical / Technical Skills (40% of performance review)
- Notification to team of comments from Patient Satisfaction surveys
- Performs data collection and data entry for HBIPS/IPFQR chart abstraction, data collection and related activities as assigned
- Reviewing patient charts and extracting data timely
- Knowledge of medical terminology and ability to navigate the patient record
- Tracking, quantifying, and ensuring monthly metrics are received and reported from each department, including additional programs
- Assist in gathering, compiling, modeling, and validating data
- Effectively manage multiple projects
- Validating data acquisition methods
- Accurately demonstrates use of database systems to document occurrences, medical staff review functions, committee review and actions.
- Assists in compiling reports for committees and administrative team
- Utilizes information obtained via performance improvement activities to seek and act on opportunities to improve patient care processes
- Responsible for maintaining current systems to ensure integrity of data obtained during the varying processes performed in the department
- Assists the department director during regulatory surveys in obtaining requested reports and data.
- Assists the department director in assigned special projects.

Qualifications
Education
- Required: Associates degree in a healthcare related field, business, finance or computer science. CPR and CPI certifications (provided at time of hire)
- Preferred: Bachelors degree in a health related field or business administration
- Maintains education and development appropriate for position.
- May substitute experience for education.
Experience
- Required: One year of experience in the healthcare field
- Preferred: Previous experience in data analytics
- May substitute education for experience
