Description
The Appointment Scheduler will answer a multi-line switchboard rapidly, schedules appointments and directs the calls to destination without any delay. The Appointment Scheduler greets the customers, answer questions, declare calls or provide directions. The Appointment Scheduler enters new patient data into the system. The Appointment Scheduler will perform additional administrative duties for the clinic as needed.
Responsible for handling incoming referrals and calling the prospective patients to schedule appointment, ensuring that appropriate authorizations are requested, received and recorded in the EMR. Employs multiple tracking mechanisms to ensure all patients receive their appointment in a timely manner and are always cleared for their appointment prior to their arrival. Enters progress notes and other pertinent information into the electronic medical record based on application of practices and procedures.
