Join the HALO Urologic Institute as a New Patient Scheduler. We are looking for an experienced medical scheduler to support our team in Palm Desert. The medical scheduler performs diverse administrative duties and customer service for telephone customers such as patients, referring physicians, and staff members. A working knowledge of healthcare insurance and prior medical office experience is required.

• Perform general scheduler duties including answering phones, routing calls, and requesting priors
• Registers new patients and updates existing patient demographics by collecting detailed patient information including personal and financial information.
• Facilitates patient flow by coordinating calendars of the center.
• Protects patient confidentiality by following HIPAA guidelines, making sure protected health information is secured by not leaving PHI in plain sight and logging off the computer before leaving it unattended.

Qualifications: 2 years of experience as medical scheduler in clinic or high volume call center and bilingual highly preferred.
