Small, but highly specialized IP boutique is seeking a full time patent attorney or patent agent to assist in the preparation and prosecution of patent applications in the financial services, software, computers and electronics fields. Candidates must be registered to practice before the USPTO, and must possess strong analytical and written communication skills. Prior patent prosecution experience and an undergraduate / graduate degree in either Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering are strongly preferred (although other technical engineering degrees will also be considered if the candidate has a strong computer software background). Some business or finance background or experience is a plus, but not required. Ability to speak Japanese a plus. Salary to be based upon candidate's experience.
