Responsible for preparing and filing patent applications and trademark registrations, litigating pending applications and registrations, and reporting possible violations. Being a Patent Attorney prosecutes violations of organization's registrations and/or patents. Requires a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school. Additionally, Patent Attorney requires admittance to a state bar. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Patent Attorney work is closely managed. Level IV (4223): $75,435.29 Full State Employee Benefits
Job-related travel is OCCASIONAL. Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain required car insurance.
Preferred Minimum Qualifications
Level I - Active membership in the Oklahoma Bar Association.
Level II - Active membership in the Oklahoma Bar Association and at least one (1) year experience as an attorney in the area of child support, family law, or collection of consumer and private debts.
Level III - Active membership in the Oklahoma Bar Association and two (2) years of experience as an attorney in the area of child support, family law, or collection of consumer and private debts.
Level IV - Active membership in the Oklahoma Bar Association and three (3) years of experience as an attorney in the area of child support, family law, or collection of consumer and private debts with a minimum of one year as a Child Support Services Attorney.
