Patent Attorney determines potential of granting patents on inventions or trademarks, and monitors possibility of infringement. Responsible for preparing and filing patent applications and trademark registrations, litigating pending applications and registrations, and reporting possible violations. Being a Patent Attorney prosecutes violations of organization's registrations and/or patents. Requires a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school. Additionally, Patent Attorney requires admittance to a state bar. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Patent Attorney work is closely managed. In the Public Defender’s Office we are trial attorneys representing people facing allegations in criminal court, juvenile court and select civil actions.  We zealously represent our clients and protect Constitutional Rights.     • $85,696 to $104,561 per year (depending on experience)

    REQUIREMENTS:
    • License to practice as an attorney in Idaho or an immediate candidate for Idaho State Bar licensing.
    • Possess or have the ability to possess a driver’s license and are insurable.
    • Reliable transportation for regular travel to and from various off-site locations (court house, jail, etc.)
