Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Patent Attorney located in Des Moines or Cedar Rapids, IA. The Patent Attorney will be responsible for day-to-day tasks associated with patent law, including filing and prosecuting patents, rendering patentability and clearance opinions, drafting patent applications, performing due diligence and other related legal services.

Qualifications

• Expertise in Patent Law, Patent Preparation, and Patent Applications
• Experience in patentability and due diligence assessment
• Excellent communication and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong teamwork skills with ability to work collaboratively with clients and colleagues
• Experience with intellectual property litigation is a plus
• Admission to a state bar and registration with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office is required
• At least 3 years of experience in patent prosecution is preferred
