If you are a professional, dedicated, highly skilled nurse we would like to meet you and discuss your application to become our new Director of Nursing. As the Director of Nursing, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of nursing operations within our facility. Your leadership and expertise will ensure the delivery of high-quality care to our patients.
Duties:
- Work with our administrative team to create, develop and expand our nursing policies, procedures, and protocols in accordance with industry standards and regulations
- Provide leadership and guidance to our nursing staff, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to deliver exceptional care in the home care setting
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals on our team to develop and implement comprehensive patient care plans
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of nursing staff, providing feedback and coaching as needed
- Monitor and evaluate our Home Health Aides staff
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain strict confidentiality of patient information
- Oversee the coordination of resident admissions, transfers, and discharges
- Manage inventory of medical supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate levels are maintained
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in nursing practices and technologies, attend continuing education meetings and seminars, implementing changes as necessary
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's degree in Nursing or related field preferred
- Current valid nursing license
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in nursing, previous leadership or management roles highly encouraged
- Strong knowledge of hospice care, acute care, home health, and nurse management principles
- Experience supervising and leading a team of nurses
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems
Skills:
- Excellent leadership abilities with a proven track record of effectively managing nursing operations
- Strong understanding of resident rights and commitment to upholding ethical standards in patient care
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams
- Proficient in using computer systems for documentation and data analysis
