Pastoral Care Director - Healthcare develops programs and oversees services designed to meet the religious and spiritual needs of patients, their families, and healthcare staff. Ensures that pastoral services are staffed so that chaplains are available to support patients and families facing difficult medical choices. Being a Pastoral Care Director - Healthcare establishes policies and procedures to facilitate optimal service delivery and ensure that emotional support, spiritual counsel, and comfort are provided. Evaluates and reviews records of counseling sessions and visitation logs to ensure compliance with professional and ethical standards. Additionally, Pastoral Care Director - Healthcare plans and coordinates with other clergy to conduct interfaith worship experiences. May perform the duties of a chaplain. Requires a master's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Pastoral Care Director - Healthcare typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Pastoral Care Director - Healthcare typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Researching and pursuing new referral sources while maintaining relationships with existing contacts. Calling on Healthcare Facilities, Physician Groups, and Clinics in order to generate homecare referrals. Develop long term, loyal, referral sources through exceeding customer service expectations. You will participate in activities and special events to increase new leads.

    Full Job Description:
    • Call on physicians, hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, discharge planners and case managers.
    • Build and maintain client relationships.
    • Prepare business plans and maintain target lists in accordance with the marketing plan.
    • Gather and organize account related information and provide input on key customer opportunities.
    • Maintain accurate and complete records of all contacts made.
    • Use professional sales strategies and complex methods to close sales and develop partnerships.
    • Develop weekly reports and forecasts.

    Education/ Experience:
    • Bachelor degree preferred but not required. PLUS a minimum of 1 year health care sales experience selling home health care, hospice care, DME, Outpatient therapy, Pharma, assisted living or other healthcare sales experience required.
    • Excellent selling skills to appropriately represent the company to the targeted referral sources.
    • Excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills required.
    • Ability to travel within assigned territory and to sales meeting as required by job.
    • Demonstrate a high confidence level to interact with health care professionals at all levels and committed to an excellent customer service.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Obtain referrals as outlined by the supervisor.
    • Work closely with the agency to identify community resources.
    • Utilize market data and execute market development tactics to identify and grow new business opportunities and volume.
    • Assist discharge planners/ case managers with the transition care.
    • Pre- plan daily and weekly activities.
    • Complies with agency policies and procedures.
    • Conduct meetings and presentations with physicians, case managers, discharge planners, medical social workers to attain new referrals and follow ups.
    • Ability to multi task and be adaptable.

    Experience:
    • Marketing: 1 year (Preferred).

    License/Certification:
    • Driver's License (Preferred).
