Pastor directs religious services and all daily operations of an organization. Provides spiritual leadership, guidance, and assistance to members. Being a Pastor supervises church staff and associated administrative businesses to ensure operational needs are met. Designs and oversees outreach and educational programs and events to support the community. Additionally, Pastor coordinates volunteers to ensure community outreach goals are fulfilled. Performs religious services, leads prayer, and conducts worship. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a regional or chapter manager. The Pastor typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Pastor typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. About Rice Creek Community Church: The church is a rural Marshall MI at 23906 L Dr. North. The church has been present at this site since the 1850's. In its current iteration it is a non denominational church and organized as such in 1963. The church currently serves between 25 45 congregants that possesses a great love for one another and is committed to the faithful and evangelical teaching of God's Word.
The Successful Candidate: Will agree with the church's doctrinal statement and will operate in accordance with the church's by laws. (Both of which can be found at http://ricecreekcommunitychurch.org/). He will regard the church as his flock, shepherding them through the preaching of God's Word, by developing their spiritual gifts, by providing sound counsel, and by performing baptisms, weddings, and funerals as needed. We are seeking a candidate that can meet the qualifications found in 1 Timothy 3;1 7 and Titus 1; 5 9 and preach effectively from both the Old and New Testaments. We seek a leader with strong organizational skills as well as a passion for evangelism, discipleship and teaching. The successful candidate will operate as the leader of the congregation and of the church board in accordance with the church by laws and continue in his position at the pleasure of the church board.
Remuneration: The salary for the pastorship of Rice Creek Community Church is to be negotiated. The church offers for the use and enjoyment of its serving pastor a parsonage located next to the church.
