Parts Supervisor jobs in Norfolk, NE

Parts Supervisor identifies, inspects, coordinates, and processes parts to be exchanged. Dispatches material and parts in accordance with production schedules and commitments. Being a Parts Supervisor monitors all backorders and communicates and provides technical assistance to parts sales, customers, and branches. Updates and monitors the parts inventory database and places orders as needed. Additionally, Parts Supervisor generates progress reports on schedule status, parts usage, and inventory and keeps records of completed orders. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Parts Supervisor independently performs a wide range of complex duties under general guidance from supervisors.     What You'll Do:
    • Identify and resolve all issues in the shipping department and ensure achievement of all short and long-term objectives.
    • Create and sustain measurable success through the use of metrics and process improvements.
    • Oversee and approve all process improvement goals and changes to ensure sustainable success.
    • Provide customer service, support, and assistance to internal and external customers
    • Coordinate directly with the Customer Service Supervisor to ensure teamwork, providing clear answers and on-time shipments to our customers.​​​​​​
    • Provide communications support, presentations, and various correspondences to customers.
    • Investigate and resolve customer complaints, process, and follow up within the existing resolution system.
    • Expedite parts orders through the shipping process as needed.
    • Actively participate in process improvement projects as required.
    • Work with any functional area to support the customer.
    • Make and implement recommendations to improve the productivity, quality, and efficient delivery of products and services throughout the company.
    • Responsible for providing unparalleled customer service.
    • Project and maintain a professional image while servicing existing and potential dealers and customers (internal and external).
    • Build relationships and develop effective strategies with business partners.
    • May be required to provide communications support, presentations, and various correspondences to external and internal customers, i.e., create and present training materials to customers and dealers.
    • Work closely with equipment sales, service, and engineering representatives as needed.
    • Support the efforts of the entire Product Lifecycle Team.​​​​​​

    What We Need from You:
    • Requires education or experience generally equivalent to an associate degree from a two-year technical college with courses work in Mining TechnologyHeavy Equipment Service Mechanics, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Design, Manufacturing, Business, or Sales. 
    • Computer experience desired, particularly the ability to use a mouse, and locate and open/close files.
    • Adept at problem-solving. Adaptable to new situations and challenges. Open to changes and new ideas.
    • Ability to satisfactorily work alone with reasonable instructions, training, and supervision, and ability to work with others respectfully and professionally in a team environment.
    • Ability to communicate, express one’s needs, and ask questions.
    • Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed and written and/or oral instructions.
    • Ability to handle the stress that accompanies production standards and deadlines.
    • Ability to accept constructive criticism and make subsequent adjustments, and willingness to rework incorrect tasks completed by oneself or others.
