Parts Supervisor identifies, inspects, coordinates, and processes parts to be exchanged. Dispatches material and parts in accordance with production schedules and commitments. Being a Parts Supervisor monitors all backorders and communicates and provides technical assistance to parts sales, customers, and branches. Updates and monitors the parts inventory database and places orders as needed. Additionally, Parts Supervisor generates progress reports on schedule status, parts usage, and inventory and keeps records of completed orders. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Parts Supervisor independently performs a wide range of complex duties under general guidance from supervisors. Searching for a candidate with GM Parts experience preferable, automotive parts experience is ideal, but might be willing to train the right person. This position requires the applicant to be able to lift up to 50lbs, be able to answer phone calls, assist technicians with parts estimates, restock shelves, receive parts back from technicians for warranty jobs, be able to learn part numbers, and most importantly work well with others.
