Parts Manager supports the parts department with technical, procedural, inventory control, and parts exchange support. Manages material and parts in accordance with production schedules and commitments. Being a Parts Manager monitors and troubleshoots all backorders and communicates and provides technical assistance to parts sales, customers, and branches. Monitors the parts inventory database and places orders as needed. Additionally, Parts Manager reviews progress reports on schedule status, parts usage, and inventory and makes necessary adjustments. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Parts Manager supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Parts Manager typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. What we're offering:
Liberty Family of Dealerships is expanding. We're looking for a full-time Parts Manager. This position will be autonomous, so you'll need a solid understanding of how a successful parts operation should be run. The basics are there, including inventory, wholesale accounts, and a growing shop. This position is a salaried position with a sales based commission. We offer subsidized health benefits, paid time off, and a 401k plan.
Who you are:
You'll have the experience necessary to maintain and grow our successful parts department. You'll be organized, have a good understanding of inventory stocking strategies (although PartsEye does most of the work!), and have great phone skills. As the head of this department, you'll need to set a good example for other employees by being to work on time and displaying a good work ethic and positive attitude. Experience with Tekion DMS, PartsEye, and CollisionLink is a plus, but not necessary.
