Detailed Overview:
The Parts Department Sales and Inventory Coordinator position at Masek PowerSports is an entry-level to mid-level position with lots of room for future growth. Come join the fastest growing PowerSports dealership in the area! This position will be the primary parts person, with assistance from an experienced sales/parts position already in place. As the dealership and department grow, this position will be looked at for promotion to Parts Manager. This position will coordinate parts sales (both to the public and to the service department) and coordinate inventory levels to ensure efficient turnover. No previous experience is necessary, as very thorough on-the-job training will be provided.
Full-Time Job, 40 Hours Per Week plus overtime as needed.
General Requirements
· Knowledge of two and four cycle engines is required
· Previous experience in parts, service, or sales would be helpful, but not required
· General computer and email skills required, specific software training provided on-site
· Monday – Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with 1-hour lunch. Saturdays on rotation (one or two Saturdays every month)
· Must have a positive attitude and teamwork-oriented desire to help the dealership grow
· Able to lift and handle heavy loads up to 50 lbs. plus work outdoors and indoors in all weather
Target Responsibilities:
· Order parts for service repairs, special orders, and stocking orders every couple of days
· Locate and order aftermarket, off-brand, and specialty parts as necessary from our usual vendors or eBay.
· Receive parts daily, input the packing slip information into the system, distribute the part to service or put on the shelf
· Stock parts on the shelf when received, keep shelves organized and tidy. Analyze stocking needs with our computer system and by working with Service and Sales departments to establish min/max for individual parts
· Knowing and using manufacturers programs for dating, returns, special pricing programs, and ordering.
· Continually demonstrate excellent communication skills for answering phone and customer service. Excellent computer skills for basic clerical duties, purchase orders, price files, internet, online ordering, and credit filings.
Daily Duties and Responsibilities:
· Begin each workday with a positive attitude
· Receive Parts Daily and complete the receiving process efficiently and without errors
· Pick parts for the Service Department and place them in bins for technicians
· Work with walk-in and over-the-phone customers to determine the parts they need and order them
· Sell retail parts and accessories to walk-in customers.
· Merchandising, cleanliness and tidiness of parts bins, stock room and parts counter. Clean/Dust one customer-facing display each day.
· Update the Service Department on which parts have come in/which are delayed
· Cashiering retail parts sales for walk-in customers. Helping walk-in customers choose helmets, gloves, order from parts schematics, packaged service kits, etc.
· Work to assist other departments, including checking in/cashiering service customers and working with sales customers.
Weekly Duties and Responsibilities:
· Meet with service and sales managers to review ideas to improve communication with the respective departments.
· Meet with Management Team for departmental overviews of goals and objectives for the week. Discuss sales / promotions and opportunities for the department as well as opportunities to exceed expectations.
· Evaluate and update parts displays to make sure they are timely and present a quality, professional appearance.
· Place orders at least once a week, but usually every couple of days.
Monthly Duties and Responsibilities:
· Meet with Manager to discuss results from the previous month and to review goals and objectives for the upcoming month. Discuss any employee issues and improvement process implemented to correct performance issues.
Quarterly Duties and Responsibilities:
· Meet with service and sales managers to review ideas to improve communication with the respective departments
· Meet with Manager to discuss improvement processes to be implemented during the next quarter.
· Review quarterly sales targets and recieve quarterly commissions
Annual Duties and Responsibilities:
· Meet with Management Team to discuss year-end results, goals and objectives for the upcoming year.
· Meet with the sales personnel to discuss year-end results and to outline goals and objectives for the upcoming year.
Wage:
$17.00 - $21.50/Hour, depending on experience. Paid every two weeks. Salary (as opposed to hourly) is available. Commission on parts sales paid quarterly. Additional incentives and bonus opportunities are available. Christmas bonus each year. Expected annual salary range after commissions/bonuses: $40,000 - $52,000/year or more.
Expected hours:
40 per week plus overtime as necessary (paid time-and-a-half). Monday – Friday 8AM-5PM. One Hour Lunch from 11:00 – 12:00 or 12:30-1:30. 20-minute paid break every two hours. Saturdays 9-3 on rotation, one or two Saturdays per month.
