Parts Exchange identifies, inspects, coordinates, and processes parts to be exchanged. Dispatches material and parts in accordance with production schedules and commitments. Being a Parts Exchange monitors all backorders and communicates and provides technical assistance to parts sales, customers, and branches. Updates and monitors the parts inventory database and places orders as needed. Additionally, Parts Exchange generates progress reports on schedule status, parts usage, and inventory and keeps records of completed orders. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Parts Exchange works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Duties and Responsibilities:
TRAINING REQUIREMENT
Associate must receive hazardous material HazMat training within 90 days of hire per Department of Transportation regulations. The incumbent of this position must file a Financial Disclosure Report OGE Form 450 as required
GENERAL EXPERIENCE
Three years of experience in administrative merchandising technical or other responsible work that enabled the applicant to gain general knowledge of store operation practices and procedures skill in dealing with others in person to person work relationships and the ability to exercise mature judgment.
OR SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE
One year academic study above the high school level may be substituted for each 9 months of experience up to a maximum of a 4 year bachelor s degree for 3 years of general experience.
AND SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE
One year of responsible experience that provided a knowledge of retail and or services type operations practices and procedures understanding of management methods and techniques utilized in monitoring developing and improving operational plans or similar work that demonstrated improving operational plans maintenance of inventory levels and stock controls customer service maintenance of equipment exempt or nonexempt supervisory experience and maintaining effective sanitation security and safety regulations or similar work that demonstrated the knowledge and abilities to perform the work of the position.
