Pay Range: $47,000.00 - $56,000.00 (experience & education dependent)
Status / Shift: Full Time / Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm

Outpatient substance use disorder and mental health services are located across Southeastern Massachusetts in Brockton, Middleborough, New Bedford, Plymouth, and Taunton. At most sites, services are provided during the day and many clinics have evening hours. We offer individual, group, medication management, and family services to address diverse clinical needs. An interdisciplinary team of professionals includes licensed social workers, mental health clinicians, Master’s level clinicians, certified addictions clinicians, psychiatrists, and psychologists. 

High Point & Affiliated Organizations is a health and human service agency whose mission is to treat and prevent substance use disorders and mental illness. High Point has programs located throughout Southeastern Massachusetts offering a full continuum of care for substance use and mental health treatment, including inpatient, outpatient, residential, and community-based services. Programs and services also assist survivors of abuse, violence, and families experiencing homelessness. High Point believes that everyone has inherent goodness, worth, and dignity. Qualifications:

• Must have one-year experience in providing culturally competent substance use disorder treatment including supervised counseling experience 
• Have a minimum of a LADC II certification via the Massachusetts Department of Public Health 

Requirements: 

• Must present as courteous and professional at all times 
• Demonstrated flexibility and ability to perform multiple tasks 
• Must have excellent communication skills, including the ability to organize ideas in logical and clear fashion 
• Knowledge of basic computer skills and software programs including the ability to learn, use and train HPAHO`s electronic medical records 
• Must have the ability to work with others in cooperative and collaborative manner 
• An understanding of the relationship between substance useand mental health issues and/or self-help programs 
• An understanding of boundaries and ethics 
• Comply with Federal Regulations, 42 CFR Part 2, Confidentiality of Alcohol Abuse Policy and HIPAA Regulations 
• TB screening 
• Certification in the HPHAO approved de-escalation program 

Duties and responsibilities: 

• Meet with parolee on day of release providing a complete assessment of supports for successful completion of parole 
• Provide initial assessments, comprehensive assessments and treatment planning and develop discharge and aftercare planning 
• Identify any mental health or substance use disorder issues needing treatment 
• Assist in obtaining health insurance 
• Provide case management for community services including substance use disorder, mental health, employment and medications management 
• Collect data for DPH ESM/EIM system 
• Develop linkages with local human service agencies and develop community partners 
• Encourage positive support to parolees 
• Assist parole offices with issues that need the establishment of an intervention. 
• Attend meetings as assigned 
• Maintain appropriate documentation 
• Utilize standard precautions at all times 
• Demonstrates behaviors that recognize the rights of patients/clients as defined by the patient rights 
• Attend all unit, facility meeting and case conferences as director by Supervisor 
• Attend mandatory trainings 
• Other duties as assigned by the Site Director and/or Senior Vice President.
