Parole Officer is responsible for managing designated cases for prisoners who are on parole. Assesses the needs of the parolee, schedules and sets standards for supervision and creates reports on progress and behavior. Being a Parole Officer is responsible for scheduling or supervising rehabilitation program attendance and progress. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Parole Officer typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Parole Officer gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Experience:
-Certified Law Enforcement Officer strongly preferred
Responsibilities:
-Enforce laws and ordinances to maintain public order and safety
-Patrol assigned areas to deter crime and respond to calls for service
-Conduct investigations, gather evidence, and make arrests as necessary
-Prepare detailed reports documenting incidents and activities
-Provide assistance and support to victims of crime or emergencies
-Direct traffic and enforce traffic laws to ensure public safety
-Serve warrants as required
-Testify in court proceedings
-Collaborate with other law enforcement agencies in joint operations or investigations
