Parole Officer is responsible for managing designated cases for prisoners who are on parole. Assesses the needs of the parolee, schedules and sets standards for supervision and creates reports on progress and behavior. Being a Parole Officer is responsible for scheduling or supervising rehabilitation program attendance and progress. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Parole Officer typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Parole Officer gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Duties:
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises to ensure the safety and security of all individuals and property.
- Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems to identify any suspicious activities or potential threats.
- Respond promptly to any incidents, emergencies, or alarms and take appropriate action.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting visitors, answering inquiries, and providing directions when needed.
- Enforce access control procedures to ensure only authorized personnel enter restricted areas.
- Conduct thorough investigations of any security breaches, accidents, or incidents and complete detailed reports.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement agencies when necessary to address security concerns.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field is preferred, not needed.
- TN Unarmed or Armed License a big plus.
- Strong knowledge of surveillance techniques, loss prevention strategies, and conflict management.
- CPR and First Aid certification is a plus.
- Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in operating CCTV systems and other security equipment.
