We are currently interviewing for a full time Parking Garage Attendant in our Portland, Maine market.  

Position Highlights:

• Full Time
• Monday - Friday
• 8:00am - 4:00pm
• Earn $16 /hr to start. Offers will be determined based on skills and experience. Following a 60-90 probationary period, employees become eligible for up to a $2/hr raise, based on overall performance and reliability.

This position is responsible for maintaining a clean parking environment, greeting arriving guests, and assisting them as they enter and exit the parking area. 

Serious applicants should be engaging customer service workers who possess an outgoing personality, professional demeanor, and drive to maintain a clean environment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Greet and welcome guests in an attentive, at-your-service readiness.
• Maintain a pleasant, friendly, and professional demeanor with all guests, parkers, co-workers, and clients
• Provide exceptional services to all guests in a confident, friendly, and efficient manner
• Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures to guests and parkers
• Provide exceptional services to guests and parkers in an attentive, friendly, and efficient manner
• Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to guests, parkers, co-workers, and clients
• Assist with questions about the facility and local area as needed
• Maintain cleanliness by picking up trash, cleaning signage, and other general lot maintenance
• Responsible for money handling of a cash drawer and accountability of those funds
• Resolves customer complaints independently or with the aid of a supervisor
• Ensure compliance with company practices and policies, as well as local, state, and federal laws
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Must be comfortable sitting, standing, walking, running, bending, squatting and being lightly active for most of the shift.
• Must provide excellent customer service, always going above the call of duty.
• Must have good hand-eye coordination, as driving is required for a duration of the shift.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull at least 50 pounds
• Must have a good work ethic and be a team player
• Must maintained and groomed, professional appearance
• Must undergo a criminal background check
