Being a Parking Attendant may park and retrieve automobiles in a full-service parking lot or garage. Greets guests and ensures timely service. Additionally, Parking Attendant may require a high school diploma or equivalent. Requires Driver's license. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Parking Attendant works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. QualificationsHS Diploma or equivalent required. Cashiering experience, 1 year or more. Able to calculate and perform basic arithmetic functions in the application of revenue accounting and cash accounting. Must have excellent verbal communication skills and basic computer skills. Must be able to work in a team environment.Cashiers might have to stand or sit for prolonged periods. The cashier should be able to operate a computer keyboard and mouse.
Responsibilities- Greet customers with a positive attitude and a smile.
- Help direct customers on where to park and work closely with the drivers.
- Must be able to answer inquiries about all rates, services and promotions.
- Utilize etiquette and professionalism during all customer interactions– phone or in person.
- Accurately process revenue transactions and receive payment by cash or credit card.
- Accurate data entry of discount code.
- Communicate clearly over radio
- Must be able to multi-task
- Ability to prepare necessary cashier shift reports
- Compliance with company rules, policies and standard operating procedures.
- Able to troubleshoot in a fast paced environment
