Park Naturalist plans, develops, and conducts programs to inform the public of historical, natural, and scientific features concerning national, state, or local parks. May require a bachelor's degree and 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Being a Park Naturalist is familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. This position for Killens Pond is responsible for assisting with environmental interpretive programs that will increase the public’s awareness of their surrounding environment. Work is performed indoors and outdoors under various weather conditions. Also responsible for daily delivery of programming and leading tours of the Nature Center which include a collection of native reptiles and amphibians. Applicants must be available to work weekends, evenings and holidays as scheduled.
