Paralegal Supervisor jobs in Oklahoma
Paralegal Supervisor supervises the paralegal team and implements systems and processes utilized to conduct research and produce legal documents. Coordinates the preparation of legal documents and tracks projects to ensure the work is completed accurately and on time. Being a Paralegal Supervisor organizes documents into formal report and proofs for attorneys. Trains paralegals to effectively utilize databases and legal libraries to conduct research. Additionally, Paralegal Supervisor typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically requires Paralegal Certification. Typically reports to a manager. The Paralegal Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Paralegal Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Thorough knowledge of functional area and department processes. QUALIFICATIONS
A minimum of 4 years of litigation experience needed.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as Adobe Acrobat
OnCue or other trial presentation software is essential.
Knowledge of CaseMap, TextMap, and TimeMap is also beneficial, as is experience with WestLaw, LexisNexis, and Accurint.
Qualified candidates will be able to multitask and support multiple cases simultaneously.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Candidates should have experience with billing and time entry
Drafting legal documents
Preparing discovery including e-Discovery, records requests and review, redaction of documents, vetting experts, conducting background searches, mediation, and trial preparation.
Additionally, candidates must have a professional appearance and demeanor and be able to work in a confidential environment.
