Being a Paralegal drafts and edits legal documents such as briefs, pleadings, motions, and contracts. Conducts fact-finding, data collection, and analysis used to prepare statements and arguments. Additionally, Paralegal assists attorneys with depositions, interviews, discovery, and investigations. Manages, organizes, and archives documents with software tools and technology. Applies specialized legal terminology appropriately in documents. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically requires Paralegal Certification. Typically reports to an attorney. The Paralegal work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. To be a Paralegal typically requires 4 -7 years of related experience. The Sinas Dramis Law Firm is seeking a full-time paralegal to work at the law firm's downtown Grand Rapids location.
We are looking to hire a bright, hard-working individual who will embrace the law firm's cause of providing injured people with excellent and compassionate legal representation. cases primarily consist of civil negligence cases and cases involving disputes against insurance companies for wrongfully denying benefits to injured people. Ideally, the individual would have formal paralegal education and professional paralegal experience. However, we will consider any candidate who has significant professional or educational experiences relevant to personal injury litigation. These experiences include, but are not limited to, experiences with the legal system, experiences analyzing medical information, or experiences with medical billing.
