SUMMARY:
(This is an in-office/on-site position, with the possibility of becoming a hybrid position.) The selected candidate will serve as an ongoing resource to agents and their employees and responds to inquiries and requests in a friendly, efficient, and timely manner regarding preparation of title insurance policies, residential and commercial real estate closings, Prep Express Online and any related matters. This is a very dynamic position which changes continuously based on agent demands.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Answer routine and extraordinary questions regarding title insurance, closing matters, software issues raised by agents and agents’ staffs.
- Provide high level customer service to agent offices throughout the state with commitment to understanding and servicing agent’s needs, preferences, and goals.
- Assist designated legal staff underwriters on preparing title policies, endorsements, rate quotes, post-closing update services and other post-closing matters.
- Provide policy preparation services, both pre-closing and post-closing, and general support for requesting agents and in-house agent accounts.
- Answer routine questions regarding billing and outstanding title policy jackets.
- Perform banking and minor accounting responsibilities for policy remittance and submission and collaboration with finance and processing departments.
- Provide support for field Agent Advisor and input regarding agents and staff by use of Client Records Management system.
- Back-up other areas of the Company as necessary.
- When necessary, assist with planning and participation in education programs and training, including Prep Express and annual CLE presentations.
- When necessary, provide IT department with development input for Prep Express Online and other proprietary software used by the VT office and provide feedback on system and product enhancements.
- Other duties as assigned by Manager.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s or associate Degree as a paralegal and/or related field.
- 5 years’ experience as a real estate paralegal in Vermont
- Proficiency with real estate closing software, PrepExpress Online preferred.
- Knowledge of windows computer environment and Microsoft office products.
