Applies specialized legal terminology appropriately in documents. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically requires Paralegal Certification. Typically reports to an attorney. The Paralegal work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. To be a Paralegal typically requires 4 -7 years of related experience. You will be responsible for locating, contacting and discussing foreclosure options as required by NM law.Key Responsibilities:
- Locating and contacting delinquent timeshare owners.
- Assist in preparing and filing legal documents related to foreclosure actions.
- Coordinate with General Counsel to manage case files and maintain deadlines.
- Liaise with timeshare board of directors, providing updates regarding foreclosure process.
- Prepare and organize documents for court proceedings and attorney review.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations including all NM and Fed FDCA laws;
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of all foreclosure actions.
Qualifications:- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies or Legal Assistant Studies required.
- 2-4 years of experience in litigation, with a preference for experience in collection and foreclosure actions in New Mexico;
- Strong understanding of legal terminology and foreclosure processes.
- Excellent research, writing, and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in legal software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- A team player with the ability to work independently.
