Paralegal assists and supports attorneys with research and document preparation for court proceedings and legal transactions. Utilizes a variety of sources such as statutes, recorded judicial decisions, legal articles, and legal codes to research and analyze legal topics. Being a Paralegal drafts and edits legal documents such as briefs, pleadings, motions, and contracts. Conducts fact-finding, data collection, and analysis used to prepare statements and arguments. Additionally, Paralegal assists attorneys with depositions, interviews, discovery, and investigations. Manages, organizes, and archives documents with software tools and technology. Applies specialized legal terminology appropriately in documents. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically requires Paralegal Certification. Typically reports to an attorney. The Paralegal work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. To be a Paralegal typically requires 4 -7 years of related experience.     Job Duties: Drafting briefts, pleadings and motions. Maintaining and organizing document files. Gather and analyze research. File pleadings with court clerk. The job does entail correspondence between health care providers, attorneys, schools, goverment organizations, and the court. Must be highly organized and capable of working in a fast-paced enviroment. The paralegal will assist at all points on the case.

    Benefits: $22.50/hour, Health, Dental, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability (STD), and Long-Term Disability (LTD) are provided. Simple IRA program available for retirement purposes. In addition to holidays, employees get 120 hours of paid time off per year.

    Requirements:
    Paralegal Certificate or higher
    Legal Experience (1-2 years minimum)
    Proficient in Microsoft Office (Work, Excel, Outlook etc.)
    Familiar with the online court filing systems
    Able to manage multiple deadlines
    Strong writing and communication skills
