Reports to: Supervisor, Maintenance Supervisor
Primary Purpose:
Assumes primary responsibility for the painting needs of the district.
Qualifications:
Education / Certification:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Valid Missouri Driver’s License
- E-verify eligible
Special Knowledge / Skills:
- Ability to follow verbal instructions
- Ability to read and comprehend the English language
- Ability to communicate effectively (verbally)
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to accurately match paint colors
- Knowledge of all general painting techniques
- Knowledge of airless and conventional spray equipment
- Ability to pass Basic Skills Test
Experience:
- Three years experience in painting preferred.
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
- Maintains proper supplies
- Estimates time and materials needed for painting
- Follows guidelines regarding safety
- Completes jobs in a timely manner
- Compiles, organizes, and supervises summer painting needs, including in-house and outside contractors
Equipment Used:
Brush, rollers, airless equipment, conventional equipment, pot gun, tape, and texture equipment.

- Continual walking and standing
- Frequent heavy lifting and carrying
- Climbing, stooping, bending, kneeling, and reaching
- Work outside and inside
- Subject to work at heights of no more than 28 feet
- Exposed to extreme temperatures, dust fumes, and odors
