Packaging Manager manages and oversees the packaging staff on designated shift to achieve operational objectives. Observes, analyzes, and researches packaging line operation to develop and implement scientific and efficient process. Being a Packaging Manager implements quality control check to ensure the packaging meets environment, health, and safety regulations. Provides staff with directions on materials and equipment for each package. Additionally, Packaging Manager may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Packaging Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes.     Summary:

    The Account Manager will be responsible for interfacing with internal OIA and external Brand stakeholders for packaging-related projects and packaging program initiatives. They will also be expected to identify new business opportunities related to packaging within existing Brand clients.


    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Work closely to support existing Packaging Design Account Management team on packaging-related programs and initiatives.
    • Provide a high level of account support and customer service to key Brand contacts.
    • Assist with development and tracking of project timelines in support of new designs, implementations or additional processes and programs of Brand client projects.
    • Create and present key client-facing deliverables, including but not limited to proposals, analyses, and business reviews.
    • Maintain and develop relationships, and understand specific client material needs for designers, developers and category leads at designated Brand client.
    • Provide support to OIA operational teams to resolve material issues relating to production, sourcing limitations, timelines and inventories.
    • Qualify new projects and collaborate with OIA internal teams to identify risks and advantages of potential business.
    • Support internal teams in efforts to refine inefficient processes impacting client, improving customer service levels and facilitating future growth.
    • Communicate with designated levels of management and personnel the nature of the projects and all problems as well as their handling and resolution.
    • Attend meetings and perform other duties as required by management.

    • Working knowledge of Asia-based supply chains.
    • Advanced project management skills and the ability to manage multiple high-level projects in a fast-paced environment.
    • Superior verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills with a persuasive, creative, confident, and timely approach.
    • The candidate must have the ability to exercise independent decision-making with outstanding organizational skills and attention to accuracy and detail.
    • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
    • Must possess excellent reasoning, negotiation and listening skills. Must be able to adapt to changing environments and work well with a variety of people and customers in a cross-cultural environment.

    Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree
    • At least 3 years of experience as an account manager, project manager, or product development manager in the packaging industry/supply chain industry

    Physical Requirements:

    • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
    • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds
