Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled PC Technician to join our IT support team. As a PC Technician, you will be responsible the day-to-day maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of all IoT devices within the organization including desktops, desk phones, printers, laptops, tablets, NAS units and other network-connected devices. This role requires a strong understanding of Active Directory, Group Policy Objects (GPOs), and proficiency in the Windows environment. Support for network switch configuration, cable termination, Network Protocols (DNS, FTP, etc.), and Network Infrastructure (Firewalls, VPNs) is preferred. Additionally, knowledge of Microsoft Azure and its cloud services is highly desirable. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and a solid understanding of various operating systems and IT support tools.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to end-users, both remotely and in-person
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware and software components
- Set up and maintain user accounts and permissions
- Assist with network connectivity issues
- Perform software installations and updates
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to connectivity, functionality, and integration of network devices with existing systems.
- Maintain and manage Active Directory services, including user and group management, authentication, and access control.
- Collaborate with other IT team members to resolve complex technical problems
- Stay updated and engaged on emerging trends and technologies in the IoT space like advancements in hardware, software, security, and network infrastructure.
- Follow established procedures for incident management and escalation
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a PC Technician or similar role
- Strong knowledge of desktop support principles and practices
- Familiarity with IT support tools, Windows Server Administration and troubleshooting
- Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues
- Solid understanding of operating systems (Windows, macOS)
- Experience with Group Policy Objects (GPO) is a plus
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
