Summary:
Responsible for reviewing and reporting internal/external failures, testing product, and supporting the documentation and reporting for the quality, continuous improvement, and safety programs.
Job Responsibilities:
- Monitor all returns and credit requests and determine disposition of product before it arrives as well as physically acting on that disposition upon return
- Manage Training program administration
- Work with the team to facilitate research on any trending issues and make recommendations for corrective action
- Submit credits for approval and report on root causes and corrective actions
- Report and provide samples and/or pictures with the description of the issue for all complaints to the appropriate supervisor
- Work with the Supervisor team on all returned items that require rework to ensure an accurate and timely completion of the rework occurs
- Respond to and complete all requests for inventory inspection requested and Customer Service
- Respond to and complete overrun disposition when provided by Customer Service
- Support observation and sign off on high visibility items and new runs
- Produce documentation for Procedures, Work Instructions, and Visual Aids
- Perform testing and report results for paper trials, board grade build trials, and sales requests
- Provide compliance documentation upon request
- Audit SFI compliance quarterly and participate in annual SFI audit preparation
- Send roll rejections to suppliers as rolls are rejected in the receiving process
- Performs related duties as assigned
Primary Functions:
As part of the daily duties, there will be exposure and contact with the production team. This provides opportunity to look for areas to improve, the ability to coach and to bring findings to the Safety Committee meeting to help build a strong Safety culture.
This role administers information for the quality, continuous improvement, and training programs. This individual will gather data, coordinate projects, and report findings to the business unit.
- Paper supplier qualification:
This will involve contact with the paper companies, their technical staff and operational support from the vendor along with the corrugator manufacturer. The goal is to provide the plant the most stable supply of raw materials to work with regarding SFI compliance and quality feedback from production.
- Root Cause Analysis / Corrective Actions:
This role will perform research on customer complaints / rejections and facilitate root cause analysis on these issues. This involves working with departments internally to find root cause and corrective actions.
