Provides staff with directions on materials and equipment for each package. Additionally, Packaging Manager may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Packaging Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes.     The Account Manager will plan, direct, and coordinate actual distribution or movement of a product or a service to the customer. Coordinate sales distribution by establishing sales territories, quotas, and goals. Analyze sales statistics gathered by staff to determine sales potential and inventory requirements and monitor the preference of customers.


    Key Duties & Responsibilities:


    • Build and develop relationships within territory by calling on existing and prospective customers.
    • Develop key customer relationships to help facilitate growth in a new market and build goodwill.
    • Aggressively seek out new business opportunities.
    • Participate in trade shows and sales meetings.
    • Recognize and communicate local market conditions and competition information to develop overall sales strategy.
    • Manage and maintain contacts with established customers and source new business through both consultative and relationship selling techniques.
    • Self-starter who works independently.
    • Resolve customer complaints regarding sales and service.
    • Monitor customer preferences to determine focus of sales efforts.
    • Determine price schedules and discount rates.
    • Review operational records and reports to project sales and determine profitability.
    • Confer or consult with management to plan advertising services and to secure information on equipment and customer specifications.


    Education and/or Experience:


    • Bachelor’s degree preferred
    • 2 years direct sales experience
    • Prior B2B sales experience


    Competencies:


    • Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems.
    • Ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
    • Experience providing exceptional customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
    • Experience with the use of Microsoft Office 365 products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)


    Work Environment:


    • Office/Manufacturing environment.
    • PPE required per customer requirements.
    • Noise level in this work environment is usually moderate.
