Packaging Manager manages and oversees the packaging staff on designated shift to achieve operational objectives. Observes, analyzes, and researches packaging line operation to develop and implement scientific and efficient process. Being a Packaging Manager implements quality control check to ensure the packaging meets environment, health, and safety regulations. Provides staff with directions on materials and equipment for each package. Additionally, Packaging Manager may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Packaging Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Find your future at Fastenal! Our distribution center is hiring energetic, team oriented individuals to work in our fast pace warehouse! Working as Full-time Packaging, you will help facilitate the movement of product throughout the distribution center to company owned branches.
You will package and fulfill orders by hand or by machine. Counting parts by hand or using a scale, weighing product for accuracy and properly sealing / packing product for customers and branches will be your main responsibility.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

o Packaging customer orders by hand or machine
o Inspecting product for quality and accuracy
o Using a scale for weighing product
o Maintain the cleanliness / organization of work area
o Complying with health, safety and sustainability rules and expectations
o Participating in activities and programs that help the company achieve health, safety and sustainability objectives
o Learning, passing, and practicing various environmental health and safety trainings
