Packaging Machine Operator jobs in Minnesota
Packaging Machine Operator sets up and operates a packaging machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines. Fills, secures, and labels containers according to company and/or customer specifications. Being a Packaging Machine Operator verifies goods packaged against package invoices. Reads and interprets blueprints and diagrams to select, position and secure machinery. Additionally, Packaging Machine Operator adjusts machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications, and in a timely fashion. Documents inventory number and weight, and organizes packages. May make minor repairs to packaging equipment as needed. May have to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Packaging Machine Operator works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Chippewa Packaging is hiring a Machine Operator for our dry food packaging facility.
For the machine operator position, the applicant must be able to lift 50 pounds and stand or walk for 12 hour shifts. Daily work includes operating a machine, working on a production line, completing paperwork, reading job orders and specs, and maintaining a clean work environment. This machine operating position is not just pushing the start button and watching the machine run. Mechanical ability is a plus. Set-up, tear-down, and cleaning of machine and job area is required.
Must be able to understand and adhere to food safety policies and procedures.
Machine operator requirements include a solid work history and the ability to work independently in a fast paced environment.
Machine Operator Schedules:
A2 Shift: Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday & every-other Thursday: 4:00PM to 4:30AM (12 hours)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
