Understanding of new technologies and avenues to research their potential impact. INTERACTION This position requires minimal supervision. Enthusiastically collaborates with cross-functional partners. The individual must be a motivated, self-starter with an understanding of what is necessary to produce a quality product and to do so in a timely manner. Guidance and directional input from the Creative Services and Vice President of Operations, Brand, Marketing and Sales. EDUCATION/YEARS EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering or related field. 5 years packaging design experience. 5 years print design experience. Competent skills in Artios Cad, Photoshop and Illustrator. Manufacturing knowledge of packaging essential. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Effective organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple, high priority projects with a dedicated attention to detail. Comprehensive understanding of instruction and direction attained from support personnel and written documentation. Professional demeanor; team player orientation. Ability to interface with internal parties at all levels. Ability to perform duties under minimal supervision while exercising reasonable discretion and independent judgment. The qualified applicant must possess acceptable computer skills; a working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite would be beneficial. Ability to maintain flexible work hours. Work hours are mostly consistent, but necessitate flexible hours based on production requirements. Make common sense decisions when issues arise and elevate concerns to appropriate personnel. Preview files to insure accuracy and effectively trouble-shoot prior to delivery. Build components based on instruction and departmental procedures. Insure quality of engineering and contents. Effectively trouble-shoot work produced. Document and generate reports regarding production and manufacturing issues.
