Package Design Manager leads the planning, design, and creation of packaging artwork for an organization. Utilizes graphic arts design techniques and tools to create compelling package designs that reflect the organization's branding and marketing objectives. Ensures that design and branding standards are utilized consistently for all packaging. The Package Design Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager.     Reports to: Owner
    Supervises: Production Staff
    Start Date: May 13th, 2024 (Flexible depending on the candidate)

    Position Summary:

    The Event Production Manager will lead a team to produce a variety of event décor installations. This dynamic position will ensure that event visions are executed safely, efficiently, and to high-quality standards. The ideal candidate will value exceptional customer service, adaptability, and creativity. This position requires an exceptional eye for detail as well as the ability to plan and execute complex logistical puzzles. The ideal candidate will be bilingual in English and Spanish.

    Essential Functions and Basic Duties:

    • Supervise the event production team daily.
    • Oversee and work alongside the production team on the setup and strikes of events.
    • Create and maintain an accurate warehouse organization system and inventory.
    • Collaborate with the event specialist throughout the production processes including planning, staging, and return.
    • Ensure all rental items are in impeccable condition and facilitate repairs when needed.
    • Organize the production team’s schedule in coordination with the Executive Event Producer.
    • Liaison with the Operations Manager to ensure maintenance of the vehicle fleet, in compliance with all USDOT and OSHA regulations.
    • Hire and train new production staff.
    • Conduct performance reviews with production staff.
    • Maintain a safety and training manual for all staff.
    • Facilitate any certifications and licenses the production team needs updating including forklift training and scissor lift training.
    • Implement processes to create efficient and organized execution on event days.
    • Develop creative solutions for onsite designs and processes.
    • Forecast production needs based on event orders and business.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Ability:

    • Ability to communicate effectively with both clients and team; bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
    • Ability to deliver work to agreed quality standards on time and within budget.
    • Ability to take initiative and cope with change while maintaining a calm demeanor.
    • Ability to drive a 26’ box truck.
    • Ability to regularly lift at least 50 to 75 pounds.
    • The ability to remain highly motivated, work under minimum supervision, organize workload, meet deadlines, and understand and respect the principles of confidentiality are essential.
    • Knowledge of construction and/or rigging is preferred.
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Suite preferred.

    Education and Work Experience:

    • At least two years of relevant experience in warehouse management, logistics management, inventory control, or special events management with at least one year of supervisory experience in those roles.

    Certificates and Licenses:

    • A valid Nevada driver's license with a satisfactory driving record is required. .
    • Forklift certification is preferred.
    • Scissor lift certification is preferred.

    Physical /Mental Demands:

    Physical: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, walk, bend, and kneel for an extended amount of time as this is a highly hands-on position. The employee will use a variety of tools and machinery including a forklift, scissor lift, 26’ft box truck, ladder, and power tools.

    Mental: Regular and on-time attendance. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables professionally. The employee should be able to lift 50 to 75 pounds.

    Working Conditions:

    The employee will primarily work in the warehouse which may or may not be climate-controlled depending on the load in/out for an event. When not in the warehouse, the employee will often work on-site with others and around others, with verbal and face-to-face contact. The employee will need to present themselves in a professional deameanor with adequate uniform attire that is provided and neatly groomed. A flexible approach to working hours must be maintained to ensure maximum service to clientele, including overtime, weekends, early morning, and late evenings.
