Utilizes graphic arts design techniques and tools to create compelling package designs that reflect the organization's branding and marketing objectives. Being a Package Design Manager incorporates industry practices and any regulatory requirements into package designs. Ensures that design and branding standards are utilized consistently for all packaging. Additionally, Package Design Manager collaborates with production, marketing, vendors, and other stakeholders to deliver designs that meet all requirements and adhere to the budget. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in industrial design, art, graphic design or equivalent. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Package Design Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Position Title: Project Manager, Design and Development
Job Purpose:
The Project Manager works with Sanmina customers as the primary interface on product design projects to ensure a seamless customer experience from engagement, through design and into product manufacturing. Responsible for project coordination with internal design centers, supply chain management and manufacturing facilities with the overall goal of providing a best in class customer experience.
The Project Manager works with a world class engineering team managing projects involving the design and development of electronic and electro-mechanical systems. Manages and directs the efforts of electrical, mechanical, systems and software development engineers to achieve project objectives resulting in an outstanding engagement experience for our customers.
Nature of Duties/Responsibilities:
Managing a cross-functional team throughout the development process; to include requirement and specification development, risk management, concept development, system architecture, prototype and pilot production, detailed design, verification planning and testing, NPI transition, Design History, File management, change management and sustainment engineering.
