Package Design Manager leads the planning, design, and creation of packaging artwork for an organization. Utilizes graphic arts design techniques and tools to create compelling package designs that reflect the organization's branding and marketing objectives. Being a Package Design Manager incorporates industry practices and any regulatory requirements into package designs. Ensures that design and branding standards are utilized consistently for all packaging. Additionally, Package Design Manager collaborates with production, marketing, vendors, and other stakeholders to deliver designs that meet all requirements and adhere to the budget. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in industrial design, art, graphic design or equivalent. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Package Design Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Job Description
- Work with the Principal Architect in the management of construction projects which may incorporate both United States and Japanese construction criteria and building standards.
- Responsible for leading design teams during the construction phase (includes reviewing design documents in both English and Japanese).
- Able to supervise field staff and collaborate with construction contractors, engineers, architects, and other construction professionals in both the US and Japan to implement project requirements including facilitating project team meetings, problem resolution management, overseeing time and budget allowances to ensure successful completion of project, and project close-outs.
- May involve travel to Japan.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in architecture
- 10 yrs. prior experience in construction management
- English and Japanese fluency (written and verbal) required
