PET Technologist is responsible for operating Positron Emission Tomography equipment to produce images and measure concentrations of Radioactive Isotopes in specific body areas and body products to obtain information for use by physicians in diagnosing and treating patient illnesses. Requires registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (A. Being a PET Technologist r. T.) or The Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (N. Additionally, PET Technologist m. T.C.B.). May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a chief technologist or manage PET Technologist's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Duties:
- Perform grooming services such as bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling pets' fur according to client preferences
- Safely handle and restrain pets during grooming sessions
- Clean and maintain grooming tools and equipment
- Provide basic health checks and report any abnormalities or concerns to pet owners
- Communicate with pet owners to understand their specific grooming requests
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work area
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all pets in your care
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Pet Groomer or in a related role is preferred
- Knowledge of different breeds and their specific grooming requirements
- Familiarity with various grooming techniques and styles
- Strong animal handling skills and the ability to work with pets of all sizes and temperaments
- Basic knowledge of pet health and common skin conditions
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to deliver high-quality grooming services
