Job Description:
The Practice Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the practice and management of the employees. Essential job functions include:
Ø Oversee daily operations of the Practice
a. Make sure staffing is appropriately allocated
b. Make sure provider is available and stays on task
Ø Scheduling of employees
Ø Payroll- submit every 2 weeks
Ø Manage Paid Time off requests
Ø Review mail received and distribute to appropriate staff/department
Ø Billing
Ø Patient satisfaction
a. Ensure that all staff members are promoting optimal patient care
Ø Employee management
a. Yearly performance evaluation for all employees
b. Document and meet with staff that require Verbal and Written Warnings. Coordinate with Human Resources.
Ø Review all bills for accuracy, assign to appropriate cost center and submit to Accounting Department
Ø Schedule and facilitate regular staff and provider meetings
a. Create and distribute agenda prior to meeting
b. Document meeting minutes and distribute to appropriate staff
Ø Maintenance and Inventory
a. Track all required maintenance
b. Delegate staff members to manage inventory and oversee that its being performed adequately
c. Meet with vendors as needed to ensure that contracts are up to date and pricing is best available
Ø Staff Training
a. The Practice Manager will have full understanding and will be able to perform the role of all front office staff including: Check In/Out, Scheduling, patient phone calls etc.
Ø Staff Coverage
a. The Practice Manager will cover or assist the front office staff afore mentioned, when short staffed or when duties cannot be completed by the assigned staff member.
