Description

The short-term contract / temporary PC Technician will work in the Rochester, Michigan, area.

Major responsibilities

- Communicate regularly and effectively with ticket submitters

- Complete transferal of data from PC to PC and troubleshoot software/hardware as well as break/fix

- Assist with functionality testing and end user support

- Document all daily data communication transactions, issues and solutions or installations

- Manage equipment inventory, collaborating on purchases as needed

- Install, troubleshoot and repair printers

- Coordinate repairs with the appropriate vendors

- Take down, pack, transport and set up/install on site

- Own and execute technology implementation projects

- Ensure the integrity of all electronic data records by following company quality standards

- Take down, box and ship equipment that is outdated

- Image and prepare new computers

- Diagnose, repair, rebuild, and refurbish PCs, laptops, monitors, server, and other computer hardware

Requirements

- 1 - 3 years of experience supporting PC and Mac hardware and software, as well as knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN, and WAN

- CompTIA A certification mandatory

- Proven flexibility to adapt to changes in procedures and job assignments

- Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

- Practical knowledge of Deployments

- Operating System experience

- Demonstrated knowledge of Computer Hardware

- General familiarity with configuration management

- Networking experience preferred

- Comprehensive knowledge of Dell Technologies

- Deep understanding of Microsoft

- Expertise in EO/IR systems

- Deskside Support experience highly preferred

- Adeptness in Active Directory

- Ability to multitask and communicate effectively with individuals of all backgrounds

- An understanding of networking such as switching and routing is highly valued

- Ability to recognize, evaluate, and resolve problems effectively
