PACS Administrator is responsible for the daily operations of the Picture Archiving and Communications Systems. Oversees equipment maintenance and systems testing, upgrading, and installing. Being a PACS Administrator acts as a liaison between the Radiology department and customers. Maintains positive vendor relationship. Additionally, PACS Administrator requires a bachelor's degree. Requires a certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The PACS Administrator supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a PACS Administrator typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Thorough knowledge of functional area and department processes.     Administrator Responsibilities:

    • Manage the day-to-day operations of the facility and keep the organization on track for its long-term goals and mission.
    • Coordinate and provide leadership to each clinical, managerial, and custodial team, and ensure that they work together effectively.
    • Ensure the facility operates in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
    • Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure residents’ individual care plans are being followed.
    • Provide regular safety and compliance training.
    • Create and maintain a budget.
    • Oversee billing and set fees.
    • Act as the ‘face’ of the organization to the governing board, the public, and residents’ families; and as a liaison between staff, residents, and families

    Nursing Facility Administrator job duties are considerable, and vary from building to building depending on size, level of care, managerial structure, and focus. Generally, this position is ultimately responsible for all patient care and business decisions.

    Administrator Requirements:

    • Must have a valid Nursing Facility Administrator license that’s in good standing.
    • Bachelor’s degree in related field.
    • Experience working in a Skilled Nursing Facility.
    • Must be able to pass a background check.
