Job Description:
We are an AAAASF-certified ambulatory surgical center. We primarily host plastic surgeons from around the valley. We provide exclusive one-on-one care to execute the BEST patient experience and care. The primary goal of the DON is to ensure the prompt, safe, and effective care of surgical patients. The DON is integrally involved in ensuring that staff, patients, and equipment come together seamlessly to move patients through the surgical process. We are wanting a highly organized DON who is effective, promotes positive leadership, and is skilled.
Monday through Friday position
Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
● Schedule staff appropriately to accommodate OR cases
● Schedule education and training seminars
● Maintain OR suite
● Order specialty items for surgeons that are approved by the medical director.
● Ensure proper sterile techniques are utilized
● Ensure daily operations are functional and efficient
● Ensure surgery logs are completed
● Ensure accurate surgery bookings
● Maintain SCNS policy and procedures
● Competent with difficult IV insertions
● Competent with preop, circulating and PACU roles
● Flexibility to cover staff nurses and scrub tech roles to allow for breaks, sick days, etc.
● Basic scrubbing ability with knowledge of proper sterile techniques
● Update policy and procedures quarterly based on needs
● Maintain infection control binder
