Outpatient Surgery Director creates, directs, and implements the policies and procedures for the outpatient surgical function. Ensures a high level of quality care and services for patients by coordinating and communicating operational procedures to staff and physicians. Being an Outpatient Surgery Director monitors, evaluates, and modifies programs while adhering to company guidelines and standards. Requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Additionally, Outpatient Surgery Director typically reports to top management. The Outpatient Surgery Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be an Outpatient Surgery Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Avera is looking for a Surgical Technologist Outpatient to join our Team!
*Sign-on Bonus - $6,000 for less than 2 years of experience or $10,000 for 2 or more years of experience*
Position Highlights:

About Ambulatory Surgery:
- Patient Safety Focused
- Team consists of 12 RN Circulators, 16 Surgical Technicians and 2 Patient Care Technicians. We work with Surgeons in the following specialties: Pediatric Orthopedics, Pain Medicine, General, Eyes, ENT, Dental, Plastics, Urology, Gynecology and Vascular.
- We provide care from Pediatric to Geriatric patients in 8 operating room suites.
- Our nurses work in a fast paced environment and have outstanding teamwork.

Job Summary

Education and/or Experience
- Satisfactory completion of an accredited Surgical Technician program required.
- Previous experience as a Surgical Technician preferred.
Licensure/Certification/Registration
- Successful completion of National Exam of Surgical Technicians preferred.
Work Schedule
- Varied Shifts; 80hrs/2wks
Pay
The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
- $22.00 - $30.75 per hour
