Orthopedic Technician jobs in Wisconsin
Orthopedic Technician applies and adjusts plaster casts and assembles and attaches orthopedic traction equipment and devices as directed by a physician. Sets up bed traction units or rigs special devices as required, and inspects and adjusts bandages and equipment. Being an Orthopedic Technician requires a high school diploma or its equivalent, completion of Orthopedic Technician training and certification program. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Orthopedic Technician's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Certification and/or licensing in the position's specialty is the main requirement. (Copyright 2024 Salary.com)

****No Recruiters/Staffing Companies****Beloit Health System at Beloit Clinic is growing our Orthopedics team with a Orthopedic Technician.In this position the Orthopedic Technician will work with our busy Orthopedic team. In this position the Orthopedic Technician will perform splinting, casting, cast removal, dressing changes and suture and staple removal. The Orthopedic Technician will also room patients and assist with procedures. In addition, this person will clean exam rooms, order supplies, schedule surgeries and refill medications per protocol.
This is a great position for anyone who is interested in traveling to multiple clinics.
Required:
- Ability to travel to multiple clinics
- Ability to obtain orthopedic certification within 30 months of hire
- Graduate of accredited Medical Assistant or Surgical Tech Program
- Must be CPR certified within 3 months of hire
- Previous clinic experience preferred
- Previous EMR experience preferred
