Orthopedic Technician applies and adjusts plaster casts and assembles and attaches orthopedic traction equipment and devices as directed by a physician. Sets up bed traction units or rigs special devices as required, and inspects and adjusts bandages and equipment. Being an Orthopedic Technician requires a high school diploma or its equivalent, completion of Orthopedic Technician training and certification program. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Seeking a full time X Ray Technician/ Medical Assistant to work in a fast pace environment in our Pediatric Orthopaedic Office.
Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, on patients as directed by physicians
- Supporting doctor in back office along side medical assistants and orthopedic tech when not performing X Rays.
- Fit patients for DME as ordered by provider
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment in accordance with safety protocols
- Review images for quality and accuracy, making adjustments as needed
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to provide comprehensive patient care
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Adhere to all relevant medical and legal regulations
Requirements:
- Valid certification or license as an X-ray Technician
- Completion of an accredited X-ray Technician program
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
