    What Your Job Will Be Like:

    Organization 03262, Leadership and Organizational Development, is currently seeking a highly motivated and team-oriented Organizational Development Professional to join their dynamic team!

    This organization is a group of passionate professionals that create and implement leadership and organizational development (OD) initiatives across the entire labs.

    On any given day, one may be called upon to:

    • Coach, manage, and facilitate leadership development learning at all levels of the organization

    • Lead assessments of skill levels, knowledge, and training needs, and utilize results to create and facilitate leadership development programs

    • Provide input and direction on content design/development; partner on identification of success metrics prior to program implementation and provide post-implementation feedback to ensure continuous improvement

    • May partner with other human resources professionals to develop, assess, facilitate, or lead Organizational Development interventions, programs, and processes to support business objectives.

    • Supports and participates in strategic initiatives, cross-functional groups, and projects which contributes organizational success

    • Stay current on emerging trends and research best practices to ensure development, continuous improvement, and use of innovative solutions in developing leaders and teams

    • Measure and assess the effectiveness of programs to ensure return on program investments

    • Facilitate other requests as needed

    The selected applicant can work a combination of onsite and offsite work. The selected applicant must live within a reasonable distance for commuting to the assigned work location when necessary.

    Qualifications We Require:

    • A Bachelor's degree in Business, HR, Organizational Development, Organizational Behavior, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Organizational Learning, or a related field; or equivalent experience and/or achievements that demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the duties of the job

    • 10 years experience of Leadership Development and/or Organizational Development in a corporate environment

    • 5 years leadership experience leading people and projects

    • The ability to acquire and maintain a DOE L-level security clearance

    Qualifications We Desire:

    • A Master's degree or PhD in Business, HR, Organizational Development, Organizational Behavior, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or Organizational Learning

    • The ability to apply technologies such as e-learning, videos, podcasts, mobile learning, and social learning as appropriate

    • An International Coaching Federation (ICF) or Board Certified Coach (BCC) coaching certification

    • Demonstrated experience applying assessment tools and results

    • Exceptional communication and presentation skills

    • Experience supporting large-scale change initiatives and interventions

    • The ability to build trust with key customers, influence senior leaders, and build partnerships with teams with competing priorities

    • Strong organizational and project management skills; the ability to lead highly visible and complex initiatives without the direct ownership of resources

    • The ability to synthesize and distill information into recommendations in a constantly evolving and ambiguous environment

    • The ability to think both at the strategic and operational level to develop actionable plans and recommendations

    • An active DOE L-level security clearance; or other equivalent active security clearance such as DOD Secret

    About Our Team:

    The Leadership and Organizational Development department is responsible for the execution of talent planning, developing, designing, instructing and administering management and leadership training requirements, and developmental needs lab wide. We provide administrative and logistical support to the management and leadership staff in the development and presentation of training programs, workshops, and other activities to meet the educational and developmental needs of the organization. We also provide administrative support of instructional systems design, delivery, and talent planning process to ensure a continuing quality program that meets the needs of the organization.

    Posting Duration:

    Security Clearance:

    Sandia is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, law enforcement records, and employment/education verifications. Applicants for employment need to be able to obtain and maintain a DOE L-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship. If you hold more than one citizenship (i.e., of the U.S. and another country), your ability to obtain a security clearance may be impacted.

    Applicants offered employment with Sandia are subject to a federal background investigation to meet the requirements for access to classified information or matter if the duties of the position require a DOE security clearance. Substance abuse or illegal drug use, falsification of information, criminal activity, serious misconduct or other indicators of untrustworthiness can cause a clearance to be denied or terminated by the DOE, resulting in the inability to perform the duties assigned and subsequent termination of employment.

    NNSA Requirements for MedPEDs:

    If you have a Medical Portable Electronic Device (MedPED), such as a pacemaker, defibrillator, drug-releasing pump, hearing aids, or diagnostic equipment and other equipment for measuring, monitoring, and recording body functions such as heartbeat and brain waves, if employed by Sandia National Laboratories you may be required to comply with NNSA security requirements for MedPEDs.

    If you have a MedPED and you are selected for an on-site interview at Sandia National Laboratories, there may be additional steps necessary to ensure compliance with NNSA security requirements prior to the interview date.

    Salary Range:

    $78,000 - $150,000

    *Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential.
