Organizational Development Manager manages all aspects of organizational development. Oversees the development of training programs, facilitation of change management initiatives, and review of current development programs to ensure linkage to company goals. Being an Organizational Development Manager develops programs to build human capital and a strong employee development culture. Facilitates the development and implementation of employee performance measurements to gauge the success of programs and identify areas for improvement. Additionally, Organizational Development Manager assesses leadership development, team development, and organizational communication programs and practices. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a director. The Organizational Development Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be an Organizational Development Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     We are seeking a Manager, Talent & Organizational Development to:

    • Lead a team of talent management and organizational development professionals across our UW Health Wisconsin and UW Health Northern Illinois regions
    • Serve as a coach and advisor to all levels of leadership, to provide solutions for talent and development needs at the individual, team, and organizational level
    • Promote an environment of continuous learning and cultural improvement in a complex health care system

    Education:

    Minimum – Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, organizational development or related field

    Preferred  Master’s degree in business, organizational development, human resources, or related field.

    Work Experience:

    Minimum – 

    • Five (5) years of leadership experience in Human Resources, Operations or combination of the two (2) 
    • Experience creating and implementing leadership development programs.
    • Experience in organizational design and development.
    • Experience in advising, coaching, and consulting with leaders on talent management, and organizational development needs.
    • Experience with facilitation or regular communication and connection with all levels of leaders within an organization.

    Preferred 

    • Five (5) years’ experience in designing and implementing competency-based leadership development curriculum and measuring outcomes
    • Knowledge of HR employment law for managers and supervisors
    • Previous experience as an operations manager, or work experience in various areas of HR
    • Operational Healthcare experience or leadership in an operational area outside of HR in a non-healthcare organization.
