Organizational Development Director jobs in Santa Maria, CA

Organizational Development Director directs the design, planning, and implementation of corporate organizational development programs, policies, and procedures. Approves change management initiatives and suggests enhancements to existing programs. Being an Organizational Development Director oversees the development of programs to build human capital and a strong employee development culture. Reviews key performance metrics to enable accurate and valid measurement of workforce performance and to identify areas for improvement. Additionally, Organizational Development Director proposes changes to organizational structure to leverage talent and provide development opportunities to key leaders in the organization. Develops systematic collection and evaluation of performance metrics. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Organizational Development Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be an Organizational Development Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     Requirements

    * Graduated from accredited school of nursing and currently licensed by the State of California as a registered nurse or a licensed vocational nurse.

    * Has at least one year experience as a licensed nurse providing direct nursing care to the aged, chronically ill, the developmentally disabled, or the mentally disordered in a long-term health care facility.

    * Must have at least one year experience in planning, implementing, and evaluation of nursing programs in the field of nursing (may be waived if an RN consultant meeting these qualifications is available to provide at least ten hours per year on site consultation).

    * Demonstrates knowledge of and ability to apply basic principles of nursing care. Has good verbal and written communication skills and demonstrates capability to work effectively with all employees.

    * Maintains an interest and knowledge of current trends and new developments in nursing and health administration.

    * Demonstrates interest and ability to work effectively with geriatric and disabled persons.

    * Has the ability to generate enthusiasm and cooperation from others and to develop and maintain good interpersonal relationships.
